Gulf Brand Fast Food Company (GBFFC) opened its first Popeyes Restaurants in the Kingdom in December 2021, and today we’re in seven cities operating over 30 restaurants.
Popeyes, a restaurant specialising in slow-cooked foods with complex flavours, was founded in 1972 by Al Copeland, a passionate foodie from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Al was known for his dedication to perfecting recipes, often staying up all night to perfect his mashed potatoes. At Popeyes, we take pride in using high-quality, fresh chicken from Tanmiah, marinated for 12 hours before cooking. Our competitive advantage lies in the taste and quality of our food.
In June 2023, we introduced a new product, the “Chicken Slaw Sandwich,” along with ice creams and shakes made with Oreo and Lotus, which our customers have enjoyed. During the first half of 2023, we served 750,000 customers and aimed to serve another 1,500,000 in the coming six months, providing the same great Popeyes experience. While in the second quarter, we opened 5 new restaurants.
Our team is our most valuable asset, and we trained 31 leaders during the first half to manage the restaurants and ensure a great customer experience. With our Popeyes proprietary formula, we strive to delight every guest with our food and service, aiming to become the leading chicken QSR in the Kingdom.
